The BIODIV’OM LIFE project contributes to the conservation of five globally threatened species including three birds: the Reunion cuckooshrike, the White-breasted thrasher of Martinique and the Madagascar pond heron on Mayotte, and two fish: the Nassau and Atlantic goliath groupers. The programme will also help to protect a highly threatened habitat, the Guiana savannah. The BIODIV’OM LIFE programme is the first LIFE project to implicate 5 French overseas territories and that is undertaken by 5 different nature protection organisations, a national park and a naturel regional parc.
