Conservatoire du Littoral « the Coastal conservancy »

Le Conservatoire du Littoral (CDL) is a public institution whose mission is to ensure the protection of the 200 000 hectares of more than 750 sites. Its aim is to acquire a third of France’s coast in order that it won’t be developed or artificialised whilst at the same time protecting coastal cultural heritage.

The « Ministère de la Transition Ecologique et Solidaire » (MTES) is the French ministry charged with preparing and applying the government’s policies on sustainable development, the environment and green technology, energy and energy transition, climate, prevention of natural and technological risks, industrial security, transport and its infrastructures, infrastructure and urban planning and the sea.
